Desktop accounts and connections

For the desktop connector, we process your account name and email, paired computer name, selected workspace path, permission settings and connection status. Authorised assistant actions pass through our server. Action arguments and results can include file paths and file contents from the folders you permit; they are stored with operation records for delivery and troubleshooting.

The Windows helper protects pairing credentials for your Windows user account. You control access through local permissions and machine settings in your dashboard. Commands are off by default. Closing the helper stops its connection; disconnecting a computer revokes its access. Neither action deletes your workspace documents. Ashford Connect is independent software and does not ask for your Google, Microsoft or AI-provider password.

Waiting list: what we collect

When you join the waiting list, Ashford.cloud records your email address, your optional operating-system preference and when you consented to receive updates. Joining does not create a remote-access account or give us access to your computer.

How we use it

We use this information to send development, early-access and launch updates about Ashford Desktop Connector. We do not add you to unrelated mailing lists. Website requests are also processed by our hosting services for operation and security.

Storage and your choices

Email addresses are encrypted in our application database. The application can decrypt them to send the updates you request. You can withdraw your consent through the unsubscribe link in any waiting-list email. We will review and remove unused waiting-list information within 12 months.
